Cathedral Grove on the Main Trail
Cathedral Grove is a grove of old-growth coast redwoods on the Main Trail, signposted as a quiet zone where visitors are asked to lower their voices. On 19 May 1945 delegates to the United Nations conference in San Francisco held a memorial service here for President Franklin D. Roosevelt. A plaque in the grove records it.
